Clear terms for deposits, online payments, guest cancellations, weather decisions and approved refunds.
Reserving Your Trip
A deposit equal to 50% of the trip price is required to secure your reservation.
Your booking is confirmed only after:
- The trip date and details have been agreed upon
- The required deposit has been received
- Captain Nato’s Charters has confirmed the reservation
The remaining balance may be paid online before the trip or in cash at pickup, according to the arrangement confirmed with you.
Paying Through Atlantic Bank
Online payments are made through a secure High Point Travel payment link provided through Atlantic Bank. The link accepts Visa and Mastercard.
Online payments are charged in Belize dollars
The payment link processes transactions in Belize dollars rather than US dollars. Belize uses a fixed exchange rate of BZ$2 to US$1.
Example: a US$450 trip
The number displayed is larger because it is shown in Belize dollars. BZ$450 is equivalent to US$225 at the fixed local exchange rate.
Your card provider may apply an international-transaction or currency-conversion fee. Any such fee comes from the card provider and is not collected by Captain Nato’s Charters.
The link does not automatically collect the balance
Paying the deposit does not authorize an automatic charge for the remaining balance. Unless you arranged to pay cash at pickup, you must complete a second online payment using the instructions provided.
Keep your payment confirmation for your records.
How Notice Affects Your Refund
Cancellation terms are based on the amount of notice received before the scheduled trip.
Refund less US$67
The amount paid will be refunded, less a US$67 processing fee.
50% deposit fee
A cancellation fee equal to 50% of the deposit applies.
Non-refundable
Payments are non-refundable.
No-shows
A guest who does not arrive at the confirmed time and location without cancelling is considered a no-show. Payments are non-refundable, and the remaining trip balance may still be payable under the booking agreement.
To cancel or request a change, contact Captain Nato’s Charters as soon as possible. Earlier notice provides more opportunity to consider alternative dates, but rescheduling remains subject to guide and boat availability.
Rainy Season Does Not Automatically Cancel Fishing
Passing showers may occur without affecting the trip. When conditions remain safe, the guide may recommend sheltered water or different target species instead of rescheduling.
A trip may need to be rescheduled when:
- Wind exceeds approximately 24 knots
- A tropical storm affects the area
- Sea conditions are unsafe
- Sustained heavy cloud or steady overcast rain makes the planned fishing impractical
We will contact you as early as reasonably possible when conditions may affect the trip. Rescheduling depends on guide, boat and guest availability.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within one week.
The time required for funds to appear in your account may depend on your bank or card provider. Differences caused by card-provider fees or currency conversion are outside the control of Captain Nato’s Charters.
Payment Confirms Acceptance
By submitting a deposit or other payment, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to this Booking, Payment and Cancellation Policy.
