Shallow Water, Moving Fish, Real Coaching
The skiff works in roughly two feet of water while the guide searches for movement, nervous water and feeding fish. Unlike a trout holding in one current seam, a flats fish is usually moving—so many opportunities come down to one fast, deliberate cast.

Fly Rod or Spinning Rod

The classic flats method. Saltwater casting rewards speed, distance and a low strip strike rather than lifting the rod like a freshwater trout set.
Versatile, effective and beginner-friendly
A strong option for guests who do not fly cast, for a second angler on the boat, or when the conditions and target suit spinning gear better.

How the Boat Rotation Works
The boat is designed for two people fishing at once. A third guest is welcome, but rotates into the fishing positions rather than fishing simultaneously.
What Happens When Conditions Are Tough?
Cloud and wind can make open-flats sight fishing difficult. The guide reads what is practical that day and adjusts honestly.
When the trip can still run
The guide may move behind mangroves or into sheltered water to target tarpon, snook or jacks instead of forcing permit and bonefish on exposed flats.
When rescheduling may be needed
Wind above approximately 24 knots, unsafe sea conditions, a tropical storm, or steady overcast rain that makes the planned fishing impractical may require a different date.
